After setup, follow this order to load your data and unlock household value adds and Surges.
Quick path (overview)
Import client data (contacts)
Import account data
Import beneficiary data
Import physical assets
Import liabilities
Import insurance
Import billing data
Then: open a household → generate value adds → go to the Surge tab to create Surges.
Why this order?
Each step builds on the previous one. Clients/households come first so everything else (accounts, beneficiaries, assets, liabilities, insurance, billing) can attach cleanly and drive value adds and Surges without rework.
Step-by-step
1) Import client data (contacts)
Create your client records and households. Use the template so IDs and columns map correctly.
Outcome: Households and clients exist; future imports can reference them.
2) Import account data
Add financial accounts and link them to the right clients/households using your IDs from step 1.
Outcome: Accounts are available for statements, analyses, value adds, and beneficiary mapping.
3) Import beneficiary data
Attach beneficiaries to the appropriate accounts/clients using the same IDs you imported earlier.
Outcome: Beneficiary reviews and related value adds are more complete.
4) Import physical assets
Load non‑account assets (e.g., real estate, vehicles, valuables) and assign owners.
Outcome: Net worth and asset-based value adds become more complete.
5) Import liabilities
Bring in mortgages, loans, and lines of credit; link them to the proper asset or household.
Outcome: Net worth and asset-based value adds become more complete.
6) Import insurance
Add policies (life, disability, P&C, etc.) with coverage details and insured/owner references.
Outcome: Insurances with cash values are added to Net Worth report and any beneficiaries are included in the Beneficiary Report
7) Import billing data
Load fees, plans, or invoices and tie them to clients/households.
Outcome: Billing workflows and reporting align to your client records.
After your data is in
Generate value adds from any household
Open a Household, and review the data you just imported, go to the Value Adds tab and generate value adds directly from that household.
Create Surges
Go to the Surge page to build and launch Surges for selected households, bundling value‑add workflows so you can execute and generate Surge Packets at scale.
Tips for a smooth rollout
Follow the sequence above so dependencies line up.
Keep IDs stable across all files to avoid duplicates and enable updates.
Use the import templates to ensure columns auto‑map and reduce errors.
